This year, the weekly collage workshops will start on October 30 with a 6 session program focusing on collage and mixed media techniques for beginners and little advanced amateur creatives. This is specifically for women who always wanted to make art, but don't know where to start. This 6 week program includes an introduction to the basics of collage, abstract art, color theory and composition. You will learn how to create composited images from found or personal photographs, and how to make disparate elements meld seamlessly to create a sense of magic realism. You will also be introduced to the language of abstract art and mixed media. We will meet each Wednesday for 6 weeks in the morning from 10 am - 12 pm and you will get to know easy, basic techniques to start our creative journey. The group will be maximum 6 participants to assure that everyone will get personal guidance in her process.

Each session will start with slides of artwork of relevant collage artists, a demonstration of the specific collage or mixed media technique, and after that you will have plenty of time to make your own artistic creation.
